We are proud to report that two young scholars who worked in the POLINQ grant from the National Science Centre, Poland (awarded to the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences), have won and begun their SONATINA Post-Doctoral Scholar grants.
Dr. Olga Zelinska, a graduate research associate of the grant, is now at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Uniwersytet SWPS) on a 3-year postdoc for the project: “Relations between social movements and political parties for the democratic representation of social groups in Europe” funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (2021/40/C/HS6/00229).
Dr. Olga Lavrinenko, a post-doctoral scholar of the grant, is now at the University of Warsaw on a 3-year postdoc for the project, “Fragmentation of women’s organizations and exercise of political power by women in the world in 1999-2020,” funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (2021/40/C/HS6/00150).
Core to the POLINQ grant is the development of the next generation of social science scholars. We are thankful for their great work on the grant and we wish them well as they go further in their academic career.
We are looking for a new post-doctoral scholar for the grant, “Political Voice and Economic Inequality across Nations and Time,” funded by the National Science Centre, Poland. The position is for five months. The location is the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences.
